Piano lessons are given at the studio, which is located in Ellicott City, Maryland. Miss Deborah may be reached there on 410-812-1991. Anyone interested in taking lessons may call to see if she has openings. The first payment is due at the first lesson. Subsequent payments are due monthly, in advance, at the lesson before the first of each month.
The teaching year begins September 1st and ends August 31st. During July and August, students may pay for the number of weeks they will actually attend lessons. Absences during these 2 months must be settled in advance of the month; and the price and schedule then becomes fixed for the agreed number of weeks.
When needed, Miss Deborah gives extra lessons and repertoire classes, without an increase in charge, in exchange for lessons the student may miss. There are no “make-up” lessons. Miss Deborah requests 24 hours advance notice to cancel a lesson, and 2 weeks advance notice to terminate lessons. Students are not charged, of course, for lessons that Miss Deborah misses.
The prices cover lesson time, but not music books, or entry fees into various competitions. Miss Deborah will give recommendations about where to purchase music during the lessons, and advice about whether the student is ready for competitions, along with associated current pricing.
